All-on-4 – Enfield, CT

Streamlined Full Arch Tooth Replacement

Dental implants replace the roots of lost teeth. However, that does not mean that each lost tooth must be replaced by a single dental implant. Rather, we can use as few as four implants to provide the base of support for an entire arch of prosthetic teeth. This streamlined treatment, known as All-on-4 in Enfield, is one of the most efficient and least invasive implant-based methods for addressing extensive tooth loss. To learn more about it, continue reading below, and when you are ready to schedule your consultation, contact the friendly team at Four Town Dental.

Why Choose Four Town Dental for All-on-4?

How Do All-on-4 Implants Work?

Whereas traditional dentures simply rest on top of the gums, implant dentures are anchored in the jawbone by dental implants in Enfield. Dental implants provide an incredibly strong base for the prosthetic teeth on top of them, but in order to do their job, they require adequate jawbone density. During the All-on-4 surgery, we insert implants in places where the bone is naturally strong and thick, which usually helps us avoid the need to perform a bone graft.

Immediately after the implants are in place, we provide a temporary denture to go on top of them. Later, after a healing period of a few months, we are able to provide a permanent denture.

All-on-4 vs. Traditional Dental Implants

In general, the All-on-4 process is faster and less costly than traditional implant dentures. It is also less invasive because it usually requires just one surgery, as opposed to two or more. Additionally, All-on-4 provides you with an immediate denture, whereas traditional implant dentures require a waiting period after the initial implant placement surgery.

Of course, as wonderful as the All-on-4 treatment is, there are some circumstances in which traditional treatment is the better option. We will help you compare the pros and cons of your tooth replacement choices so you can make an informed decision about how to proceed.
